Summary

As a Supervisory Management Analyst (Branch Chief) in the Science Mission Directorate’s (SMD’s) Engagement Branch, you will be responsible for developing policies, procedures, schedules, resources, funding, and personnel requirements for the branch. You will lead a team of highly skilled science engagement professionals in supporting SMD’s strategy to actively engage with audiences and learners of all ages and to share the story of NASA’s integrated science program.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level: Providing strategic advice and guidance on broad science engagement activities and programs; Collaborating effectively with others to establish and implement strategies that align with science and Agency objectives to inspire the world through discovery; Collecting and analyzing data to evaluate the effectiveness of programs or projects, and presenting recommended improvements to leadership for decision making.
