F.H. Paschen is looking for new valued team members with strong leadership and communication skills. We specialize in building long-term relationships with repeat clients in healthcare, education, municipal, and recreation by adapting to an owner’s preferred method of construction (Design-Build, Integrated Project Delivery, Construction Manager @ Risk, and Job Order Contracting). The projects would span from eastern Ohio through western New York. The role would include a mixture of visiting project sites, meeting with owners and job walks, and working remotely.

Responsibilities:

The Project Manager works with a team to estimate and secure potential projects, and manage construction projects.

  • Prepare cost proposals
  • Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
  • Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend job walk meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
  • Interact with owner, A/E, and other contractors to ensure project success
  • Negotiate financial disputes and change orders with owners
  • Administrative point of contact for the owner
  • Understand details of project scope of work
  • Create and maintain project cost reports
  • Document and negotiate changes that may affect project completion or contract costs with subcontractors and owners
  • Responsible for managing MBE/WBE subcontracting requirements
  • Responsible for EEO/Affirmative action contract requirements
  • Weekly travel to project sites to ensure project is successfully progressing
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or another degree related to the built environment. 7 years estimating, cost control, project management, and/or engineering experience in construction environment.
