The Role: People Operations Specialist
What You’ll Get To Do:
- Provide operational and administrative P&C and Human Resources support with emphasis on creating and maintaining a positive overall employee experience.
- Support day to day P&C processes, including employee data management, HR files and databases.
- Perform administrative functions necessary to facilitate programs, document training programs, and track employee training and progress.
- Assists in the coordination and facilitation of new hire orientation ensuring a smooth and welcoming new hire experience.
- Stay up to date with innovative and creative ways of onboarding new employees and ensure onboarding content is kept current.
- Help plan and support special events, recognition celebrations, office tours, etc.
- Provide support for employee care, well-being, and recognition programs.
- Ensure a great candidate experience by supporting recruiting efforts by coordinating candidates travel, onsite visits, and expense reimbursements.
- Partner with applicable team(s) including Recruiting, IT, and Payroll to proactively solve employee issues.
- Provide support for corporate travel and third-party vendor management.
- Assist with onsite support as needed, such as answering phones, welcoming guests, being part of the safety team, and posting safety and compliance notices
What You Have:
- 2+ years general people operations experience.
- 1-2 years of administrative support.
- Demonstrated success in building strong relationships across an organization.
- Highly detail-oriented and demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity, credibility, and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work effectively with all employees and be approachable by all.
- Maintaining and safeguarding the confidentiality of sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
- Have initiative, passion, resourcefulness, self-motivation, and a high level of ownership.
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to set own priorities with minimal supervision; experience having remote manager a plus.
- Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, and adaptable to other systems as required
What Will Set You Apart:
- Bachelor’s degree or HR coursework, degree, or certification.
- Experience in an aerospace environment.
- Experience in a startup environment.
- Project management experience.
- Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
