Join our pioneering team and launch your career to new heights! **COMPOSITE TECHNICIAN – CNC PLOTTER OPERATOR** As part of the Production team at Rocket Lab, the Composites team is responsible for building and assembling numerous parts of the Electron rocket. From pressurised tanks, Structural Assemblies, Propellent Filters right through to Payload hardware and Heat shields. You will undertake all aspects of the build required during production, while adhering to Rocket labs High standards of Quality, and secondly meeting the schedule demand set out by the production leadership team. Experience operating a material plotter is preferred. However, we would consider someone with no experience operating a plotter but plenty of hands-on laminating experience. **WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:** * Operate CNC plotter and software to cut carbon prepreg, glue film, cork and other materials * Transact materials and production orders through the ERP system * Handle the different stock materials. Practice good tracking of materials and inspect it for faults * Undertake a dynamic workflow to support the wider company, while maintaining production targets * Where required help in the composite cleanroom laminating components or tooling **YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:** * Trade qualified in relevant industry or able to demonstrate 4+ years of relevant industry experience * Have moderate Microsoft Office and PC skills * Proficient operating CNC Plotter with an understanding of Programming * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written * The ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as autonomously **THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:** * Good problem solving skills * Select, use, and care for hand tools/power tools used in the marine or composite industry * Perform measurements and calculations used in a marine or composite workplace * Experience running Plotter Programs and processing related materials If you meet some or all of the above requirements **apply now!
