Our mission-driven team is seeking a bold and dynamic Cyber Security Analyst who is preoccupied with big questions: Where do we go from here? What are the limits of innovation and exploration? How do we continue to evolve as a species?
SUMMARY: The Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization data is not impacted. The Cyber Security Analyst will oversee the governance of various security standards, policies, and procedures. Exposure to industry frameworks like NIST, CMMC, HIPPA and experience on regulations such as CUI/ITAR are highly desired. The Cyber Security Analyst will work with auditors, investors, and regulators to ensure that Axiom Space is in compliance.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, implement and monitor information security controls for infrastructure systems in alignment with our core value of integrity
- Develop and perform proof of concept testing for new information security solutions in alignment with our core competency of innovation
- Plan and implement information security solutions
- Perform patch testing to evaluate readiness to address vulnerabilities without negatively impacting production systems and controls
- Configure security policies in software and hardware to detect, identify and prevent intrusions and threats
- Performs external and internal penetration testing to confirm remediation of vulnerabilities
- Assists security team with threat hunting in alignment with our competency of teamwork
- Configure and manage event log data to establish baselines to help identify anomalous activities
- Participates in information security incident response to security threats
- Modifies information security policies and procedures
- Assists with responding to workforce inquiries regarding information security system policies, procedures, and information flow control
- Builds and maintains relationships with internal and external teams to deliver information security services in alignment with our core value of together
- Attends information security training classes and conferences to improve information security awareness of the latest security threats and defenses in alignment with our competency of organizational support
- Assists other departmental teams with researching and resolving Information Security hardware and software security control issues in alignment with our competency of problem solving
- May have other titles and duties in addition to Cyber Security Analyst designation
- Other duties as directed

Education & Experience
- 5 – 8 years industry experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security
- Information security certifications will be considered, in lieu of a degree
- CISSP or equivalent desired
- Must have firm grasp of Microsoft Security Stack (Sentinel and Defender for Endpoint) and Qualys VMDR
- Knowledge of DLP, Anti-Virus, Endpoint Protection, Disk & Data Encryption, FIPS

- Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

- Proof of U.S. Citizenship
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation
- Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised
Physical Requirements
- Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time)
