Battery Engineer

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, develop, and test batteries and battery management systems for the Axiom Space Station

Responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing BMS control algorithm

Work with cross-functional teams and lead the development of software requirements for new BMS features, diagnostics, algorithms, etc

Printed circuit board design and system level battery module design

Perform other duties as assigned.

Support design reviews of battery system as well as other spacecraft systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering or related field

10+ years’ experience power system electronics design (preferably battery experience)

Experience with solar powered systems a plus

Experience with printed circuit board design

Essential Functions

Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

Requirements

Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.

Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.

Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
