Our mission-driven team is seeking a bold and dynamic Electrical Engineer – EMI/EMC who is fueled by problem-solving, continuously curious, and driven to understand our world, science/technology, and life itself, for the benefit of all on Earth and beyond.
SUMMARY: Our team is looking for an energetic and dynamic Electrical Engineer – EMI/EMC who will primarily be responsible for testing electronics used on the Axiom Space Station. This position reports to the Electrical Test Manager. This role is onsite and will be based at our ASTC facility.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure avionics and electronics EMI/EMC compliant architectures for spacecraft systems, subsystems, and assembly-level flight hardware.
- Conduct EMI/EMC testing in both internal and external facilities.
- Perform EMI/EMC assessments of spacecraft requirements and drive flow-down to electronic and avionics subsystems.
- Perform conceptual development/trade studies focusing on EMI/EMC analysis and development efforts for current and future program needs.
- Support EMI/EMC requirements, design, testing, and documentation at all levels of avionics and spacecraft electronics development.
- Document test results, exceedances, waivers, and post-test EMI/EMC reports.
- Lead activities in all phases of a program life cycle related to EMI/EMC from cradle to grave development of ground and flight spacecraft hardware.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships across engineering disciplines.
(avionics, propulsion, payloads, power) to support EMI/EMC needs within the company.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or, higher) in engineering or science (aerospace, electrical, physics, or related).
- A minimum of 3 years engineering experience in EMC/EMI requirements, compliance, design, and/or testing per MIL-STD-461 or related standards.
- Experience in EMI/EMC test planning and execution activities.
- Experience with NASA spaceflight programs desired, or related experience in testing spacecraft, spacesuits, space vehicles, components, or systems.
- Hands-on experience with standard EMI/EMC laboratory test equipment, including Spectrum Analyzers, Radiofrequency (RF) Amplifiers, Signal Generators, EMI Receivers, Antennas, Couplers, Power Meters, and related lab support equipment.
- Experience with spaceflight hardware design and test development is desirable.
- Experience translating EMI/EMC requirements, design, and test results to senior management and supporting program engineering staff.

Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
