Our mission-driven team is seeking a bold and dynamic Associate CAD Administrator who is fueled by problem-solving, continuously curious, and driven to understand our world, science/technology, and life itself, for the benefit of all on Earth and beyond.
SUMMARY: Our team is looking for an energetic and dynamic Associate CAD Administrator who will primarily be responsible for design and development of components for the first commercial space station. This position reports to CAD Design Manager indirectly to IT. This role is onsite and will be based at our Space Station Development Facility.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the CAD/CAE/CAM environment at Axiom Space for engineering development and manufacturing
- Assist IT in authoring and overseeing testing for CAD/CAE/CAM deployment
- Responsible for deployment and reliability of CAD/CAE/CAM platforms on client devices
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding of CAD specific devices and communicate with asset management
- Maintain employee rights and access log for CAD/CAE/CAM databases
- Assist SysOps with troubleshooting and maintenance of CAD/CAE/CAM servers
- Initiate and conduct direct communication with 3rd party product support
- Provide support with immediate needs of Axiom Engineering infrastructure
- Filter support tickets regarding CAD/CAE/CAM to IT and SysOps as required
- Able to work extended and outside of regular office hours to mitigate downtime
- Able to travel locally between facilities
- Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience
- Associate degree in technology/engineering or related, similar, field required
- 1 to 5 of years of IT and Help Desk experience required
- Must have experience with admin access to the MS Windows environment
- Basic understanding of network infrastructure and architecture
- Comprehension of PDM software such as SolidWorks Product Data Management (PDM) or similar
Essential Functions
Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
Requirements
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation
- Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position
Physical Requirements (For Technicians)
- Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time)
