Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality, and providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced café environment. Your role will be essential in maintaining the welcoming atmosphere of our café while delivering delicious drinks and snacks.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
• Ensure adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling practices.
• Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for processing customer transactions.
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.
• Engage with customers to provide recommendations, take orders, and address any inquiries or concerns.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance product knowledge and improve service skills.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling is essential.
• Basic math skills are necessary for cash handling and order processing; familiarity with retail math is a plus.
• Proficiency in operating cash registers and POS systems is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 – $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
