Duties

Summary

As an Equal Employment Manager in the NASA Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity, you will provide advisory services and oversight on a wide range of complex EEO complaint matters and exercise broad knowledge of civil rights law and precedent case-setting decisions governing federal complaint processing. You will plan, direct, and evaluate complaint program objectives under provisions of Public Law, Executive Orders, EEOC, MSPB, DOJ, and NASA regulations and directives.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify at the GS-15 level, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level: Applying expertise in the concepts, principles and regulatory framework of equal employment opportunity; Planning, managing, or evaluating an EEO complaints program and developing associated policies, procedures or actions supporting continuous improvement in complaint program efficiency and effectiveness; Conducting legal research, analysis, and writing final agency decisions or legal motions; Leading a team and providing program guidance and interpreting policies, procedures, guidelines, goals, and objectives.
