The Facilities Assistant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of our company. This individual is responsible for the general upkeep of the hangar area, ensuring that all spaces are clean, orderly, and compliant with safety regulations. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, restroom cleaning, and waste removal to maintain a tidy environment. Inspect the facility and office areas for cleanliness and perform necessary cleaning activities, including but not limited to restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. Manage the disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with safety protocols and environmental regulations. Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies inventory to avoid disruptions in service. Collaborate with others to address any spills or hazards promptly, ensuring a safe workspace for all employees. Assist in setting up and dismantling event spaces within the facility as required for special functions or meetings. Conduct minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, repairing minor damages to facility structures, and notifying management of major repair needs. Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in all areas of responsibility, contributing to the professional image of the facility. Respond to emergency cleaning situations, including but not limited to fluid spills or debris on the hangar floor, to prevent accidents or damage to equipment. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary. Required Skills and Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous janitorial or custodial experience, particularly in an industrial or hangar setting, is highly desirable. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, with an understanding of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), is highly desirable Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, industrial vacuums, and pressure washing equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Physical stamina and mobility, including the ability to reach, kneel, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by the facility’s operational needs. The annual U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $41,600.00-$55,640.00. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, and experience and take into account internal equity. Other forms of pay (e.g., bonus or long term incentive) may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
