As the Facilities Assistant, your focus will be to provide a high level of support to the team at the Flight offices (Tustin, CA) and our Hubble Facility (Irvine, CA). The Facilities Assistant will report into our Office Manager, with duties including overseeing office and general building cleaning and upkeep, direct-line communication with/and assistance to the Barista, direct-line communication with the Material Handler/Site Facilitator, waste/recycling disposal, and food and beverage assistance. Ideal candidates should have the ability to work well under pressure in a fast moving and ever-changing environment and can lift and carry 50 pounds. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment and decision-making abilities, and the ability to multitask. Excellent customer service skills and a strong knowledge of office etiquette are required.

This is a 3 month contract position.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Replenish & restock all restrooms supplies as needed
  • Keep inventory of all office and restroom supplies and report when running low or needs additional supplies
  • Spot clean restrooms as needed – Report any maintenance issues to management
  • Monitor all breakrooms and lunchroom for trash and debris
  • Clean trash bin enclosures in break areas- wipe down and clean all trash bin lids
  • Dispose trash and change common area trashcan liners as needed
  • Spot clean and disinfect all public & common areas – including furniture
  • Clean and disinfect all lunchroom area surfaces, including countertops, sinks, cabinets etc.
  • Sweep/mop as needed
  • Break down cardboard to be recycled – properly dispose of recycling materials in appropriate bin
  • Restocking of any supplies as requested by office management
  • Clean/detail all microwaves and refrigerators/freezers as needed and at least once weekly
  • Food & Beverage Prepare coffee throughout the day, restock items and clean coffee pots as needed
  • Assist with inventory of common food supplies
  • Backup for food & beverage specialist as needed

The hourly rate (USD) range for this contract position is $20.00 – 24.00. The hourly rate actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, and experience and take into account internal equity.
