As the Front Desk Receptionist at Space Forge, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, playing a vital role in creating an inviting atmosphere at our facility. Your responsibilities will include managing the front desk operations, ensuring efficient communication, and providing administrative support as needed. What will you do?
- Maintain the smooth running of the facility by carrying out general office management and administrative tasks
- Be the heart of our visitor experience, welcoming guests to site
- Lead and/or support in ad hoc project work
Key responsibilities
- Welcoming visitors, contractors and colleagues to site, with a strong emphasis on hospitality and visitor experience
- Taking receipt of incoming mail, sorting and distributing in accordance with goods in processes
- Providing general administrative support
- Maintaining office supplies, placing orders as needed
- Maintain daily office checklists
- Coordinating travel arrangements for colleagues from time to time
- Testing fire alarms weekly and supporting H&S compliance efforts
- Managing meeting room setups and bookings
- Supporting our office management helpdesk function, including managing work orders
Requirements
Your Profile
Technical skills:
Essential –
- Previous experience as a Receptionist / Front Desk Manager in a hotel or equally customer-centric industry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Desirable –
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Google Workspace
- Interest or background in the space industry or technology sector
Soft skills:
- Exceptional customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- A proficient multi-tasker
- Reliable and punctual
