Job Description
We are looking to hire a Ground Support Operations Sub-Team Lead to join our Satellite Operations team.
What will you do?
- Defining processes and procedures that are followed when transporting our spacecraft and at the launch site to maintain a safe and productive environment
- Liaising with launch-site stakeholders
- Managing range safety compliance
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate system performance and troubleshoot issues when our satellites are off-site
- Tracking the needs for Ground Support Equipment and ensuring the right equipment is available and functional
Key Responsibilities
- Leading all aspects of Launch Site Operations
- Managing the Ground Support Equipment used to support our satellites whilst at Space Forge HQ, Off-Site Test Facilities, and Launch Sites
- Communicating with other specialties within Space Forge to feed Ground Support Operations considerations into the design process
- Liaising with the compliance department to ensure export control and import rules are followed
Requirements
Essential –
- Experience of Operations Planning
Desirable –
- Logistics experience
- An awareness of the critical systems of a satellite
- Lifting and Handling experience
- Gas Handling Experience
- Inventory management
- Preparing Risk Assessments within the Space Industry
Soft skills:
- Able to communicate with teams working both on-site and remote;
- Able to communicate professionally with customers and external stakeholders;
- Resilient and adaptable to technical and non-technical roadblocks, as many are expected
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- No restrictions on travel to the US and France
- Detail oriented and process driven
