Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Specialist to respond to a wide range of employee questions, respond to issues that require intervention or process improvements, and provide policy and procedure guidance to Millennium employees. With a strong customer service orientation, this role will serve as an employee advocate to identify resources for resolution of issues and concerns and train employees on the use of Human Resources self-service applications.

Additionally, the Human Resources Specialist will maintain Human Resources records, prepare reports and presentations, and provide data to support trend analysis and HR metrics. Our ideal candidate is resourceful and a natural problem-solver, and their attention to process standardization will help maintain consistency across HR services.

This is a 6-month contract role with potential to extend/convert. This position’s internal job code is Human Resources Generalist. Our team is currently hiring for level 2-3.

Responsibilities

  • Benefits Administration:
    • Manage employee benefits entries into Ease for both newly hired or separating staff. Track leave of absences in collaboration with internal Benefits team.
  • Performance Management:
    • Assist in coordinating and coaching management through performance review process. Ensure management understands how to process performance in internal tracking systems.
  • Payroll Assistance:
    • Collaborate with the finance/payroll department to ensure accuracy of employee data in Costpoint. Ensure any corrections to exemption statuses or data corrections are processed timely.
  • HR Data Management:
    • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of all HR related documentation.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay current with trends in HR, attend workshops and introduce best practices to enhance HR operations.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Serve as a liaison between employees and management, facilitating open lines of of communication and ensuring that both parties are informed of relevant HR matters.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Certifications:
    • PHR, SHRM CP certifications or equivalent experience
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR Generalist, Specialist, or Coordinator roles
  • Knowledge:
    • Basic understanding of employment laws and regulations.

    • Possesses a high degree of sensitivity and change management abilities to intercultural personnel and corporate dynamics
  • Strong analysis skills for researching, analyzing, developing, and leading in the implementation of Human Resources related programs and recommendations
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with all levels of internal and external management, vendor, or agency personnel

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only of what is reasonably expected to be paid for the position. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay-Range

  • Level 2: $33.51 – $49.28
  • Level 3: $42.09 – $61.90
