Job Description

Hermeus is an aerospace and defense technology company founded to radically accelerate air travel by delivering hypersonic aircraft. The company aims to develop hypersonic aircraft quickly and cost-effectively by integrating hardware-rich, iterative development with modern computing and autonomy. This approach has been validated through design, build, and test of the company’s first combined turbojet-ramjet engine and is now being scaled through its first flight vehicle program, Quarterhorse. Hermeus is also developing Darkhorse – an uncrewed hypersonic aircraft designed to deliver unique asymmetric capabilities to the warfighter.

As the Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for enabling inventory and logistics operations through attention to detail, organization, and operating with a strong sense of urgency. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, process-oriented, and a strong team player. The ability to solve problems quickly and provide superior customer service will be essential to this role. This position will be non-exempt and will report to our Inventory and Logistics Leader.

Responsibilities

* Receive all packages that are coming inbound into the factory and assist with offloading trucks

* Place all items in respective areas, location, and bins, as well as assist with auditing of inventory through scheduled and ad hoc cycle counting

* Ship all Hermeus parts and products in a timely manner and with proper packaging

* Safely utilize the forklift when necessary to facilitate inventory relocation and organization, as well as assist with inspection of Hermeus owned vehicles per training

* Deliver material from inventory to correct product lines and within facility between fabrication and integration resources

* Support Hermeus culture through continuous improvement and agile problem solving

* Drive world-class service daily in a constantly evolving production environment; embrace the constant change that comes with an exciting hypersonics start-up

Requirements

* 2+ years working in a warehouse, logistics facility, or related work environment

* Basic understanding of Windows and Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)

* Experience driving a forklift

* Experience using hand tools

* Ability to lift 50 pounds

* Support long hours and weekends as necessary
