Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a desire to learn and grow within a kitchen environment. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting meal preparation and ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.

Duties

  • Sandwitch preparations by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Help with food handling and storage, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with setup as needed.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other cooking tools.
  • Follow recipes and instructions to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Participate in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the food service or catering industry is preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to learn new cooking techniques and expand culinary skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 – $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
