DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, lead, and conducts the day-to-day functions of the Axiom Safety and Mission Assurance
Organization.
- Directly responsible for organizational performance in carrying out Axiom Safety & Mission Assurance plans,
policies, and processes, including performance of the Axiom safety, reliability, and quality engineers/specialist.
- Responsible for end-to-end spacecraft system safety, reliability and assurance analysis and documentation
- Lead/Manage trade studies for safety and mission assurance of spacecraft system designs and integration
- Participates in Safety and Health planning and review activities
- Reports directly to the Director of Safety and Mission Assurance
- Lead the generation of the reliability analysis and risk trade studies.
- Serves as the primary point of contact to achieve Axiom S&H goals and objectives and responding to company-
wide safety, health, and fire protection concerns.
- Responsible for reporting to all Federal, state, and other regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, NASA Safety),
tracking all company programs and metrics, producing, and maintaining all safety documents and reports,
monitoring through periodic inspections, conducting investigations, and developing safety training as
required.
- Develop quality management systems and processes including nonconformance and reliability data systems.

Education & Experience
- B.S. in Engineering, Math or Science required (graduate degree preferred)
- 12 years working in systems engineering
- 5 years of experience in management/leading teams
- Required: 5 years of experience in Safety and Mission Assurance of human rated spaceflight systems
- Required: Experience with spacecraft FMEA, Risk Analysis, software assurance, safety processes, and
spacecraft hazard analysis

- Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the
task.
Requirements
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
Physical Requirements
- Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying
up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
