Our biofarming technology combines automated farms, AI, and bioscience with a unique data-driven approach.  We use plants as bioreactors for production of targeted molecules, and provide a sustainable solution for high-quality plant-based ingredients production to large health, beauty, and F&B companies. 
Our technology has also been awarded twice by NASA and will be deployed in space stations and lunar environment for research and bio-farming purposes. 
The company counts 45 engineers, scientists, and researchers located between our flagship 65,000 sq. ft. BioPod Facility and Plant Lab in Ivry-sur-Seine (France), a Space Lab at NASA KSC Florida (USA), and a Business Hub in San Francisco (USA).
 
ABOUT THE ROLE 
We are looking for a Sales Director Health & Beauty to manage and oversee sales operations with our customers in the cosmetics, perfume and nutraceutical industries. Your main duties include designing and executing plan to meet sales targets, developing and cultivating relationships with customers and evaluating costs to determine solution pricing when selling to customers.
A minimum of 5+ years experience in sales in biotech, ingredients, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or chemical field.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing the full sales life cycle encompassing identification, face-to-face presentations to key decision-makers, responding to requests for proposals and handling contract negotiations and providing close client support
Targeting potential leads and pursuits, plans and selects most appropriate sales strategies and approaches
Driving efforts to expand and grow market share and presence in the beauty, food and ingredient industries through establishment and cultivation of relationships with existing and prospective clients
Building customer success path via long term collaboration program
Educating our customers on our services and products and their technological capabilities
Responsible for managing demand and quickly “qualifying” opportunities
Complete understanding of pricing and proposal models
Demonstrates the ability to carry on a business conversation with business owners and decision makers
Maximizes all opportunities in the process of closing a sale
Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers to their business issues
Develops a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face-to-face calling on business owners, direct mail, email, and networking
Responsible for sourcing and developing client relationships and referrals
Attend conferences and events as a representative of the company
Travel for in person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships
Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics
Other tasks relevant to sales and marketing as requested
 

PROFILE

5+ years experience in sales in biotech, ingredient, cosmetics, beauty, health or chemical field

Excellent analytical, oral and written skills to communicate complex issues in a concise, straightforward way
Strong communication skills in English (verbal, written) with the ability to communicate across all levels of organizations
Proven ability to convert a pipeline into high-value contracts
Hubspot CRM proficiency
Product launch & rapid growth experience a plus
Experience in startup and fast paced environment
