In Space, we provide farming units to grow efficiently food for astronaut while accelerating plant research in microgravity.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly motivated Plant Operator to perform day-to-day operations linked to our plant experiments and our equipment. Your mission is to carry out the various operational tasks required to ensure that the growing systems work properly, the plants grow well and the experimentations are running correctly. You will therefore make an active contribution to the success of the experimental trials and to the smooth running of the different research facilities.
RESPONSABILITIES
Ensure crop management tasks (transplantation, harvest, pruning, guiding,…)
Ensure experimentation trials monitoring (measure growing parameters on plants)
Perform lab routines and participate to fertigation solutions preparations
Contribute to maintenance tasks on the growing systems
Maintain a clean and orderly environment within our working facilities
PROFILE
A strong interest in plants and innovative growing methods
Excellent communication skills, flexibility, empathy, autonomy, discipline and organization
Basic knowledge of laboratory manipulation is an advantage
Basis in plant cultivation, crop management is appreciated
Experience in hydroponic/aeroponic cultivation is a plus
Basic knowledge of the Microsoft package
Fluent in French, good English proficiency
Knowledge of organisational and communication tools is appreciated : Notion/ Slack/ Trello.
