Additionally, we intend to establish a merit pool to fill future vacancies within the next 18 months.u003c/pu003eu003cpu003eJoining our policy or reporting teams, you will have an opportunity to work on matters of importance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, including the development of policy recommendations to support improved policy making, reporting governments’ progress towards their commitments under the National Agreement on Closing the Gap, and the development and maintenance of the Closing the Gap Information Repository , which tracks progress towards National Agreement targets.u003c/pu003eu003cpu003eYour experience working in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander policy development, program implementation, and / or data analysis will be highly valued in this role. We will be looking for you to apply your strong conceptual and analytical skills to prepare high-quality research papers, case studies, reports, and / or reporting outputs and statistical information. You will engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, organisations, and communities, along with representatives of other government agencies, businesses, and organisations.u003c/pu003eu003cpu003eAcademic qualifications are required with a preference in areas such as public policy, social policy, economics, or other social sciences, law, statistics and data analysis, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander studies, or evaluation.u003c/pu003eu003cpu003eWe value people’s diverse experiences and backgrounds and welcome applications from everyone.
