Manufacturing Engineering intern to contribute to the development and production of our cutting-edge robots. Responsibilities (may Include But Are Not Limited To)
- Fixture Design & Fabrication: Own and/or contribute to the design, fabrication, and bring-up of fixtures and tooling used in the manufacturing and test process. This may involve using CAD software, working with machinists, and performing hands-on assembly.
- Equipment Installation & Maintenance: Support the installation, validation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of complex manufacturing equipment. This may involve working with vendors and collaborating with Engineers or Technicians.
- Documentation & Standardization: Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process specifications.
- Lean Manufacturing Principles: Apply lean manufacturing principles to identify and eliminate non-value-adding activity in the manufacturing process. This may involve participating in Kaizen events and implementing 5S methodologies.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and quality assurance personnel. Communicate effectively and proactively with team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics Engineering or relevant fields.
- Proficiency with CAD software - Catia or Solidworks preferred
- Solid understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes
- Experience with machining, fabrication, and/or assembly is a plus
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles a plus
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated and eager to learn
